This has to be the best webcam ever for birdy addicts! The server had crashed thanks to thousands of local radio listeners who were given this link, but now it's up and running again. WARNING - it's addictive!!!

I know...and don't forget estie's post as well!

I think I put a pic on there just now, but it might be anywhere...

Hi twitchers! Been out all day - just got in & couldn't wait to see if there are any developments, but the screen's blank at the moment!

Never mind, can't wait to put my feet up & relax! Maybe tomorrow eh?

Nite, nite all.

Still looking in - but not much happening at the mo'!

A little verse for all:

The Eagle (A Fragment )
by Alfred, Lord Tennyson

He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, he stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;
He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls.

That is so beautiful smudge - I love Tennyson. Thank you.

The nest at 4.30pm GMT - still hopefully turning the eggs.

Just popped in to see how things are going & I'm nearly in tears. I've just watched Edwina fidgeting over what I thought might be her eggs. She then stood up, looked around completely lost & fled the nest. There are no eggs - it's completely empty, how very sad.

Nite, nite all.

I haven't been able to get onto the site all day,and just saw this now Smudge.Can't believe it! Whatever happened I wonder.I'm gutted.

It is sad linda, but it's not finished yet as Ezzy refuses to leave the nest.

Edwina left earlier calling to her mate but he returned to the nest and you could plainly see him eating the egg. A cheeky little bird came down then flew off with a piece off eggshell. Dad is plainly exhausted standing up every few minutes, tidying the nest (perhaps for next year) then settling down.

It is sad, there have been tears shed - but let's all be grateful for the privilege to watch these magnificent birds.

Thanks Cetti,I suppose it's just nature taking whatever course it has to take.It must have been horrible watching that.I'm glad I wasn't able to get the stream.I'l never forget how wonderful and exciting it has been to see these beautiful birds so intimately though:-)

He left the nest at midnight our time and I thought he'd finally decided to leave, but 20 minutes later he's back sitting on the nest.

My heart breaks for him, what a devoted Dad!

If you want to see a re-run of last night's (our time) drama I found this website as the Hancock House site is naturally impossible to access this morning.

Thank you so much for sharing these fascinating moments with us Cetti, it's been a great experience & a pleasure.
