Food for puppies

Has anyone heard of Bozita Robus dog food from Sweden, if so what are your opinions on it. I'm not sure what the best thing is to start her off - she appears to be quite a fussy eater.

No I haven't heard of this one but I feed both my puppy and my other dog Burns pet food. Which is a lot better than standard pet food. They don't stock it everywhere but you can buy it online. It is a tad pricier than usual but as with any good pet food you have to also feed them less so it works out quite cost effective

Any good quality puppy food is ok - try to avoid the cheaper 'flaky food' go for a complete extruded kibble of at least 28% protein. I always use Eukanuba Puppy, as my dogs will happily eat it dry and it is so easy to clear up after them.

Check out this diet: www.medi-cal.ca. It is what I used and it is the best in the opnion of me and my vet. I have not heard of the Swedish diet but i can't imagine it being all that much better then the diets that what your vet stocks. Give you vet office a call and they will make a diet recommendation that is suitable to your pet. After all besides oyu , they know you pet's needs best.

they might know what's best for your pet but also remember a lot of them get paid by Eukanuba and Hills to sell their food and both brands do serious damage to dogs through testing.

I would never buy any of their stuff

Thank you all for your advice. The name of the Swedish food is Bozita Robur Breeder - I spelt it wrong! I went into my local pet food dealer to get some Burns (which he does stock) and he told me that this Swedish food was even better than Burns and gave me some literature and samples to try. Apparently Swedes have very strict regulations on production of their animal food and the way animals are kept, i.e. no beak clipping for chickens, battery farming prohibited, straw required in animal boxes, use of antibiotics prohibited etc. They also do a tinned range of food with reindeer, elk as well as the more "normal" types. My puppy is 11 weeks old and still not eating very well but she does seem to prefer this food to the Beta that she was on from the breeder. I have yet to try her on Burns as I did not want to keep chopping and changing too much.

am glad to hear it doggylady. I think it's wise to stick with one food once you've found the one you want as long as puppy girl is happy with it.

Yes I will stick with this one for now as she appears to be thriving even though she hardly eats anything - very difficult to get her to eat three meals a day let alone the recommended four. I just hope there isn't anything untoward going on with this dog food manufacturer although they seem very genuine. Have just read a thread regarding the cruelty to dogs going on in the Eukanuba/Hills/Iam factories and saw the video. I am absolutely shocked at what is going on with these poor dogs. I must be very naive as I just didn't realise this could happen with dog food manufacturers. I can't get the shocking pictures out of my mind. I will certainly make sure I don't subscribe to these dog foods in the future.

I know, the pictures/video are horrific. But remember you're not to blame it's the companies. We just ned to make as many people aware. You seem like a lovely lady and I'm sure you're little girl will soon be woolfing her food down.
