I have a kitten, about 4 1/2 weeks old, and it has had many problems for the last couple of weeks. When it was born it was a normal size, the same as the rest, and just recently it has gotten smaller than the rest, is normally fat at the stomache but has very skinny legs and backbones, and has had a uncontrolable stool. One eye has got an infection and has started having troubles standing with its front legs just tonight. It is an outside kitten and we bring it in away from the other kittens to eat soft canned food. When it gets the chance and can catch the mother cat, it will also eat from her. He has no troubles eating but is VERY sick.
IF YOU HAVE ANY HELP OR ADVISE, PLEASE UPDATE ME. I don't know how long the kitten is going to live for if he doesn't get help soon. Any response is greatly appriciated!!

Alyssa, why have you not called the vet yet? PLEASE DO SO IMMEDIATELY!
You must speak to the vet, none of us on here can help this little kitten. Please, please see or at least speak on the phone to the vet.
Please dont let him suffer, as previously stated CALL THE VET. It is your legal responsibility as a pet owner to see to it that proper care is given to your pet. A proper answer to a question like this cannot be given by a bunch of people who do not have the experience. Not to mention the poor kitty is suffering the whole time you are waiting for an answer from us.

Well, we knew that if we brought it to the vet then he would just send us home with either nothing or something that wouldn't help. The grandmother was a stray that we had found and died of leukemia, so it was obviously passed down from the mother to the kitten and there is nothing to do to treat it. The kitten was to small anyways to give anything that would be powerful enough to fight it. I really appriciate all your advise but the kitten passed away this morning.

ALYSSA

so sorry to hear that alyssa still at least it is not suffering anymore

Sorry to hear that.

Alyssa, Im truly sorry to hear that. I love animals including my kitty Peanut very much. Please understand that i did not mean to sound rude or offensive in my last post, i was simply trying to stress my point. I was not saying you are not a responsible pet owner. It just makes me sick to know how many irresponsible pet owners there are out there that would just completely ignore thier pets well being.

I'm sorry that you lost your kitten, but the vet would probably have been able to tell you more than we could.
