Has anyone else got flying ants, it has always made me wonder why they chose a specific day to merge in their hundreds. Does any one know the answer. thanks. X X X :-)

Yes, here in Bucks they migrate around July 16th 17th. Every year. The dates never seem to vary and they're a real pain. However, we have lots of swallows and house martins flying around around here at the moment and I take comfort that as soon as most of the little blighters take off into the air, the birds will snatch them up very quickly. Nature rarely seems to waste anything in the food chain !
