Matty Hair
1 Answers
I have my dog who is about 1 year old, she is a cross between a Chinese Crested Powderpuff and a Papillon so she has quite long thick hair. The problem is she HATES getting her hair brushed ever since we got her.
I've tried letting her play about with the brush first to let her get used to it, i've tried holding her, i've tried doing it quickly, slowly, i've tried talking to her when doing it but nothing works. She just wriggles about, jumps and tries to nibble the brush. She is VERY hyper and fast.
Its getting to the point where i am thinking on taking her to get all her hair cut off as its starting to get matty.
Anyone have any last ditch ideas on what i can do to? Please let me know.

It is a good idea though to let him sniff it etc but dont let him play with it. maybe you could take your dog to the groomes for a haircut and then just keep his hair short to make it easy to brush.
