cats in labor

I have a question about my cat. She is over a year old and i suspect she is pregnant but we are not really sure . She has teats that is erect and hard and she is bleeding some is this a true sign of labor approaching??

That really depends if she is pregnant and at what stage of pregnancy she is at, you would normally notice from her size and feel the kittens moving if she is expecting. Phone the vet and ask for advice, if she isnt pregnant she could be very ill.
my cat never bled with either of her pregnancies - only when she actually gave birth did she lose some bloody mucus.I would check with the vet.
Why oh why don't people get their cats neutered ?
dummkopf, Maybe this is a planned pregnancy, maybe she wanted the kittens. its not illegal to have a litter of kittens you know. [edit by AB]!!!!
No I'm not a FOOL Ratter as your 'friendly' post stated. I'm just into animal welfare and try to find homes for unwanted cats & kittens, not necessarily abandoned - unwanted. There are certainly lots of people including our Vet who think the same as me. If more people neutered their cats we wouldn't have so many strays.
