one of my kakarikis died

Can somebody please help i really dont know what to do for the best, i was given a kakariki because somebody couldnt look after it any more, it settled in lovely in my aviary, i hated the fact that it didnt have a mate so i went and brought one 5 months ago, they seemed to get on so well together!! loads of playing and kissing!! sadly when i went up to the aviary yesterday, the one that was given to me was dead on the floor! And now the other one makes a terrible crying sound and seems to be looking for her!! this is breaking my heart and i really dont know what to do! Do i get another one straight away? i do have budgies and cockatiels so he is not on his own, But i feel he should have a mate to play with! Can somebody please tell me what to do asap as this is tearing me apart!! Thanks Julie
