Mine is the Labrador Retriever I have one and she is the best thing that ever happened to me. Her name is Lili.

I lurrrvvvve cats and am a bit scared of dogs but if I had to pick a favourite it would a be a cocker spaniel, they are practically cats anyway.

I suppose my answer would have to be the Irish Wolfhound, as I have had three and the companionship, protection, love and friendship they gave was just so amazing. Having said that, I also have had the most beautiful and loving (even calm!) Irish setter ever and now have a lovely little Shih-Tzu, who is full of character , love and intelligence to boot ... and who is convinced he is a Wolf Hound. So, three very different breeds. I think it is what you put into your dog that largely makes him or her the character they become. A lot of love, some early training and good care will make most breeds wonderful companions, but some more than others! I just wish people looking to take on the responsability of sharing their life with a dog would read about the breeds and go for breeds that are suited to their life style, especially if they have children. This way, not so many dogs would end up in rescue centres and the like or just abandoned on the street. These rescue centres do a fantastic and often difficult job, but it is sad that we need them so badly!

Oh, and to Pie & Mash ... how sad you are! I agree with Ratter15. Your comment was soooo unneccessary! Just because you don't like something, there is no need to be rude to others who do! Time to grow up!

Hi bubbly girly .. I have a beautiful yellow lab called Daisy. SHe's my constant companion and I adore her.

I LOVE LABS! Mine is so special because she seems to understand everything you say. I also love that she is so loveable. She is such a sweet heart!!!!

My Daisy sleeps on my bed (hubby has to go in front bedroom!) and follows me to the toilet etc. Stupidly, I sometimes upset myself by thinking about when she's not here more - I cant imagine life without her. I've got a tattoo of a daisy on my back so she'll be with me forever.

hey, i have 2 springer spaniels and a yorkshire terrier, i really like (sorry - cant spell) wimaraners? there beautiful dogs, and the little dogs that look like greyhounds but very small.
also: i wouldnt change my 3 for the world

Mine! Am I the only one with a dolly mixture at home? She`s a mix of spitz, collie and hound (the spotted kind). She`s black and silver grey long haired and there will only ever be one of her! (She`s Tara, by the way)

Lowesy is right..... you can't beat black labs! I used to have on but she was put down March first we have a 5 year old yellow lab named Lili. Nothing beats a good Labrador!

I love all types of dogs, but have at present 2 x Westies and 1 x Parsons Jack Russell . All very friendly and sociable and love everyone!
