Thought i would share this with you even tho its not a question! My daughter has a staffy cross, shes a lovely little thing but has always had bald patches particularly round her neck/head area, and scabby bleeding patches too. The vet did a scrape and analised it but couldnt diagnose anything. Quite clearly there was something wrong. After spending hundreds of pounds trying this and that i persauded her to try garlic pearles. Garlic is a natural healer, purifies the blood therefore helps everything. 2 weeks on there is a remarkable difference - scabs all cleared up and new heair growth appearing on bald patches. All for a few pennies a week!

I too have a staffy cross and she is plagued by skin conditions. Mainly under her front 'armpit'. I have also spent hundreds of pounds on vet bills to no avail. I will definitely try your recommendations of garlic pearls. It is worth a go.......Thank you
(Will let you know how I get on in 2 weeks time)

We have the 'one a day' odourless pearles sainsburys own label - although you can get them anywhere, and, as small as she is (in comparison to a human) we have given her 2 a day in order to get maximum results. As i used to work in that field i know its quite ok to do this. (when we felt ailments coming on we would take quite literally handfuls of them to ward off illness). I really would be interested to hear if it works for you - i have every confidence.
hi, i havn't got a dog, but i have a cat with scabby patches around his neck, when I took him to the vets today (i live in spain and they are not very update in all things, they didnt do any tests) they said it was an allergy to his collar, but he has had this on for about 2 years! do you think I could try this on a cat, might be a bit tricky - worth a go????

i always used to give my cats garlic. They wouldnt eat the pearles i used to pierce them with a pin and squirt the oil onto the food and give it to them that way. I could tell many many proven stories about garlic its wonders are quite a miracle. I believe animals wont have worms, fleas or ticks while taking it regularly as well as benefiting from its many healing properties.
Garlic cools the blood - it also helps ward off fleas.

I recommended garlic to a customer with a staffy with skin problems today (got a bit of a 'twilight zone' moment when I read your post!)
My friends alsatian has terrible probs with itchy skin, do you think the garlic pearls would help it? Also she is diabetic and is allergic to a lot of stuff!!
Can't do any harm. Garlic is a natural (can't think of the word - substance doesn't seem quite right but you know what I mean).

Another thing that might help this warm weather is sulphur blocks in the drinking water.
What are sulpher blocks?? and where would i get them? and what are they used for??!!
Sulphur blocks can be bought from most pet shops, they are little yellow lumps of rock that you put in the dogs water bowl. They don't dissolve or anything, but they must give off something which goes into the water - just watch the dog doesn't eat them! (although it won't do them any harm, just means you have to buy some more!)
