An eel or a prawn...hold on, didn't you ask this question a while back - has one of us got the memory of a goldfish?
i remember you asking a question about getting tropical fish just a bit ago, if your bored with them already maybe you shouldnt get anymore..

No I havent asked this before. I dont think so anyway. I have some pretty rubbish fish and I am getting bored with them.

Even if I have asked previously, I would like some fresh suggestions.

Thanks for the comments, I will take it into consideration
So what if he has asked before anyway. There will be different people on now with different ideas. Maybe you should keep your smart comments to yourself.
Tell you what roomster, why don't you post on Suggestions asking for an automatic humour filter? (it won't need to be used in your case, obviously).

Anyway, here's the suggestions from last time...

I notice from your wording missjef that you confirm your remember him 'getting' a fish tank.

Maybe he has more experience now and has things running smoothly and is able to have some fish which are more demanding that he could not have before.

I agree with Roomster, maybe you should keep your comments to yourself and only respond to the question if you are going to answer it rather than say stupid things.

He was asking for advice on fish, not whether he should still have fish or not.
Hi, What fish do you have at the momment?

Lisa x
Hi i had a tropical fish tank but i had small frogs in it,a blue lobster and a tropical frog you can also get small water lizards for your tank and they are all beautiful colours and you can still keep your fish in with them (except the crab)

You can get these from most pet shops
Sorry Big Gill, didnt realise that was meant to be funny. Gee, my sense of humour really is ****! Thanks for letting me know.
...and that's your 'smart comment'?

Hi Lisa, I currently have platty's, some glass fish and a plec. I had the platty's given to me but dont really like them.

Thanks for your answer Gilly : ). I will have to look in to that as it sounds quite interesting.

missjef, its not that i dont want fish, i just have rubbish ones that bore me to look at. Although I do like the Glass fish.

Thanks for your input Big Gill, but I noticed that Roomster was sticking up for me because people are to incompetant to answer the question. I do appreciate your answers and advice, but if your going to get b!tchy then do it on someone elses question rather than mine.
A fish is for life not just for Fishmas!! lol sorry!

If you opt for a crab/crayfish or anything with a hard shell and legs that can climb make sure there are no escape holes at the top of your tank. To my mums horror whilst she was on the loo with the bathroom door open she noticed something moving down the landing towards her, luckily she didnt have a crab infestation it was my crab that had escaped!! unfortunately the dog got to it before she could :(

If you want easy to keep but nice to look at go for guppies i love them, only thing is they can over run your tank as they breed none stop.
No Big Gill i am being honest you really are funny
I think I had the right of reply there, and it wasn't worth starting up a question just for that. Similarly, I don't think anyone needed to stick up for you, since (in my view anyway) you weren't 'under attack' - and you'd already replied.
Hi Dicklet that happened to my mum when my crab escaped but we didnt have the dog to save her
I know what you mean De-Niro.

I will have a think about it and get back to you, but the frogs sound like a good idea.

I really cant see your need to be involved in this Big Gill. Your causing an argument and you dont need to. Instead of suggesting it like De-Niro, i think you actually should get off the question.

Big Gill, you sound more like a Big Nob to me.
Lol - they are slippery little critters, it has happened to me more than once in my last house before i moved the same thing happened - i wont be having crabs again!! lol
How about clown fish?
You cant always be too carefull with frogs either i had two cute baby pink ones and they were always squeezing their way out though the small spaces (im sure they sat their planning their escape)

My blue lobster was really cute as well he was only small not like the ones you see in films he was only about 3inch maybe smaller but it was really interesting seeing him shread his shell at one point i though i had two because they dont brake it at all
Can't have clown fish- they are saltwater fish, not tropicals.

De-Niro, what dimensions are your tank? Ya need to make sure that any fish you get won't overstock your tank, over stocking results in bullying and unhappy, ill fish.

You'll also need to double check that any new fish you get will be compatible with the existing tank inhabitants.

If your tank is big enough, how about a nice schooling shoal? Cardinals are lovely little fish, extremely colourful, or perhaps harlequins?

If you're really interested in keeping a well maintained tank filled will happy little fishies I'm a member of a brilliant tropical fish forum and I'd be happy to pass on their address. Loads of brilliant advise on there including which fish can be added to others without them becoming snacks!
