This involved following the hunt and recording it secretly and then demonstrating that the intention was to kill the fox with hounds. Can you imaging the police doing that? They've rightly got more important crimes to deal with.
You've got to hand it to TB, he's made all the beardy weirdies happy by banning hunting but he's framed it in such a way that the police time needed to enforce it is never going to be invested.

I was brought up on a council estate, went to a comprehensive school, father lorry driver, mum cleaner, did a paper round to pay for riding lessons, worked to buy and keep a horse, so definitely not rich, just love the sport and thrill of a days hunting. Don't forget, Blair is on his way, so are the Labour Party. The Tories will win the next election.
Our hunt is now drag hunting, and yes we are trying to observe this pathetic law, as are ALL the hunts in our area.
The cost of this has been 75 healthy hounds put to sleep, two persons made redundant, thus loosing the accommodation provided by the hunt, one feed merchant going out of business, and thats just from one small hunt.
Like lankeela, I work very hard to keep my horses, after work (8 hrs per day) I give riding lessons, for another two hours, and most weekends. So NO we are NOT rich.
The cost of a days hunting in my area is 20 for adults and 15 for juniors, I believe a football match costs just as much, are all football supporters rich!!
Get your facts right.

Malibu-sioux, why don't you go and drag another little kid off her pony or maybe release a few more mink to kill the indiginous wildlife population to show everybody what a caring, animal loving intelligent individual you are. Alternatively you might want shut up until you have something intelligent to say with some sort of factual basis behind it. I have no problem with people who are anti-hunt or pro-hunt, I just have trouble with people who repeat the same tragic thetoric over and over again and don't think for themselves. You don't want to listen to anyone else, just insult people who have replied perfectly acceptably. It's people like you that damage your own cause.
why is it on this damn site that when someone has an opinion someone else say think 4 yaself.i am chap.coz its not your opinion its rong, dont b so insulting.drag kid of pony?U silly lil [email protected] opinion is mine.u bunch of tw@ts cn stick yours.hope u can sleep nites wiv your views,ya poor kids msut be so proud..ha.NOT
Yeah but that's the trouble Malibu-sioux your NOT voicing an opinion anyone can understand, you're just yelling tw@t at everybody and not getting your point across at all. How the hell can you expect anyone to try to decipher what you're trying to say when all you do is yell abuse. You just sound stupid. I don't really care you can yell abuse at me until your turn purple, but what I was saying is you are damaging your own argument ( which may well be a very valid and good one if we could get to the bottom of what you actually think) by just slinging names around.
You didn't like it when I stereotyped you as dragging a little kid of her pony, just as other people don't like being labelled Hooray Henry's because they hunt. I come from the exceptionally affluent hunting fraternity in the Falls Road, West Belfast, well known for it's Manor houses and aristocratic soirees. NOT.
Lots of people who hunt are not rich, privileged or what you would expect at all, and most that I know love animals, just not in the unconditional, "oh it'sfluffy and sweet so must be good" way that some anti-hunt people do.

Unfortunately hunt hounds cannot be re-homed in a domestic environment, and if there is no other place for them to go, then PTS is the only option. Still thanks to our wonderful Government at least no foxes will ever get killed again.........apart from those that are shot, trapped, killed on the roads etc.....Now if only education, the NHS and the war in Iraq could be sorted so easily.
