Not my dog, but a friend is desperately trying to find this lovely dog a home, rescue is not an option as he is not used to a kennel environment, can anyone help? http://www.collienet.com/Notices.htm
she has tried everywhere apparently. They tried him in kennels, but after a few days they had to have him out as he was so sad, she is at her wits end. Apparently they have signed the contract to move into this new property on Saturday 16th, and when they looked round it they heard a dog barking and thought nothing of it, but it is something to do with a housing association and they have now told them they cant take a dog.
Try Border Collie Rescue, they generally put dogs into foster homes. They will be able to offer advice. Heres the link to the site, good luck. http://www.bordercollierescue.org/
Oh he is so beautiful! If my circumstances were more positive I would love a second Collie. My boy is beautiful and loves company :( I hope Jake gets a second chance, he seems so lovely.
oh i have just had news that a lovely couple from Crewe have had Jake, is that you macsgiants. I am so happy, made my day. Now...........does anyone want a seven year old rough collie ! - we have just found out that a couple have split up and the husband has dumped it in kennels. poor soul.
thanks Lankeela, i am not sure where the rough is now, all i know is he was put in rescue kennels, so it may be rough collie rescue. he has been advertised on collienet like jake, so hopefully a rough collie lover will snatch him up.
There is a seven year old sable/white on collienet, but it says owners are unable to take it when they move to a new home. This is in Wales. At least it will reach the right audience on collienet.
hi macs giants - that is fantastic news - I do like a happy ending - his owner said he could be a little hesitant of strangers but went with you quite happily and she knew that you were dog lovers - how lovely, glad he is Ok.
