My garden pond has absolutely loads of frog spawn in it. However, as we haven't had much rain, there is more spawn in there than water - my question is, can I just top it up with tap water or will it harm the little tadpoles? I am very excited at the prospect of the arrival of my 10,000 new babies.
Hi, I'm no expert either, but I'd say any water is better than no water! I have a small wildlife pond....with a hole in it...:o[
and I top it up regularly through the summer months....no problems so far!
ny water will do if its tap water put it in bowl or bucket and let it stand for several hours befor adding to pond. Dont forget that the egg is in its own liquid and should come to no harm except from the sun.
