I know this isn't a question as such but this needs some publicity, I've just found this - http://www.iamscruelty.com/introduction.asp
and have decided to boycott these people's products immediately having bought it for years for my dog.
It seems nothing must get in the way of making money

Hi mariner2
Once again, I am horrified at the cruel treatment of animals.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Got to say I have never bought the product and never intend to either.
If you knew what went into that stuff, you would never give it to any animal.
I saw the video a couple of months ago and refuse to buy any of their products now,and any of their other feed companies.
we went out and bought a sack of iams after trying everything to get weight on the dogs, this stuff actually worked, now i find out about all this,,
Oh come on, please try to get some up to date information if you are going to try to slag off products. This has been rolled out time after time by the same of nutty animal rights people who go round setting fire to people's homes and sending death threats. Do you really think a firm would be able to get away with what they are suggesting?

My dogs have had Eukanuba for years. It is a good food. They do well on it. If it suits your dog or cat then feed it.
Don't be put off by some nutty animal rights people who have got nothing better to do.
By the way, did you follow the court case a few weeks ago in the states where PETA employees were going to animal shelters and picking up strays to rehome them - they got as far as the PETA van before they were put to death by the dozen.

Look up the PETAKILLSPETS website.
All About the PETA Trial
The North Carolina animal-cruelty trial of two PETA employees ended with a surprising result, but the animal rights group admitted under oath that it does, indeed, kill large numbers of animals. Our daily reports from inside the courtroom provide a rare look at one of the radical organization's most secret programs.

Yes i saw the video report, so did loads of other animal lovers. Who have since driven them out of the UK. They have moved their lab to California in the US. They were performing tests that had nothing to do with food. I saw a dog that had all its skin removed on its hind leg just to see what product could grow it again quickly. I do a little work now and again for PETA and they will confirm that this lab was perfoming terrible uneccesary experiments on dogs and cats. I will never use their products again. My vet has put this on the wall and has stopped buying anything made by iams.
Does the work you do for PETA include killing animals?
Lankeela - how DARE you say 'nutty' animal rights people and suggest that they have nothing better to do. Although you may not agree with a small minority of animal right's activists behaviour, there are a large number of people who support the animal rights cause and campaign endlessly to have brutality towards animals ended. Have a bit of respect for those people who give up their time to help fight the cause. I assume you are an animal lover and therefore that you would disapprove of any cruelty. It is a well known FACT that the parent company of Eukanuba/IAMS continue to test on animals for all of their products - cosmetic included. Take a mo to look them up on the net and boycott all their stuff.

GOOD ON YOU MARINER for highlighting Iams for those not already aware - keep it up and take no notice of Lanks who rarely responds nicely to anybodies Qs on here. A right NARK!

Having decided to change our Newfoundland's food and doing a bit more research into what to feed him instead I heard that IAMS causes yeasty ears, itchy flaking skin and a dull coat - and guess what - he has all these symptoms.
We changed him to Burns all natural food a couple of weeks ago and he's looking better already.
