My male cat was separated from his testicles in october last year. However, sometimed I think he still has sexual urges and tries to hump things, on one comical occasion, his surprised brother. Is this normal? I thought they lost all desire to reproduce when their plums were plucked and testosterone stopped being produced.

lol very comical. All I know is that my friend had the exact same problem and when our old dog was spay to calm him down he became worse and started headbutting things for fun!!!
I think it takes about six months, maybe even more, for the testosterone to fully leave him. I had the same problem with my male cat when I caught him on a couple of occasions trying to mount our very distraught female cat. But he seems ok now. Mind you, trying it on with his own brother?......., let's leave that for another day!
