Great site if the horse came from Australia however he was a UK horse back in the sixties

After a bit of cheating/creative thinking I have the following information about this pony...

"He was foaled in 1951 by Hyacinthus out of Ione and won a steeplechase in 1961, and was placed 4 times over hurdles in 61 and 62. "

I went straight to the horse's mouth, so to speak.

That sounds like the horse How did you manage to get the information? and will i be able to find out more about him?
I have reason to believe that he was injured so bad in a race at Liverpool they were going to put him down, His owner Miss Jean Meikle refused to have him shot and he recovered to win a big race at Ayr later on in his career,
i would like to find out as much about him as i can

Although High Interest is not listed as its before they started keeping the data, the Racing Post site has details of more recent horses in training. Type in the name of the horse you are interested in and all its details e.g. owners, breeders, d.o.b., colour, races run and prize money etc are listed, for example try looking up Roughquest!
