I think the vet will be the best person to help your cat. I really hope she is OK, give her a kiss and cuddle to let her know you are there for her. hope all goes well for you tomorrow.

thank you i know your right i will i am just scared
Oh animad, what a thing to have to face. 22 is such a good age, and I am sure you have given her a great life so far-it sounds as if you love her very much.

Hopefully the vet can figure out what's up, but if it is just old age, then it's up to you to do what's best for her.

Lots of wishes for you both x
Please don't be scared.

If the news is bad and you have to let her go, the vet just gives an injection, it is totally painless and is just the same as when she goes to sleep.

She will never really leave you, you just cannot see her anymore, I believe their spirit stays with us.

You might find this poem of some comfort.

Even if the vet says he can do nothing more for her, don't feel bad, you will have done the right thing by her by not letting her suffer. After such a long and I am sure happy life you owe it to her to do the best thing.

Remember - better a day too soon than a minute too late.

thank you all she had more wrong with her than we knew i wasn't there my mum and step dad went she was not in pain but would be soon so they put her down she is now being buried in our garden thank you all xxxx
So sorry to hear this, but you know they did the right thing. Remember all the good times you have shared.
ah bless, remember the good times you had with her. You could always put a little plant or plaque in the garden where she is buried. The hurt you feel now, will be less as the weeks go by, but you will always remember her with love. take care x
Sorry to hear you have lost your lovely old cat but it was the best thing to do for her. It's never an easy decision to have to make but you will eventually be able to remember her without the sadness.
