Mr thugulike and I are going to the first puppy training class tonight. Handsome George is going too. Thought you'd like to know that he's more than doubled his weight in 5 weeks. Is that exponential dog? He slept right through last night, that' 2 nights on the run. Woohoo.

How old is Handsome George now?

I get all broody reading about all the people on AB who have puppies and kittens - even though my two thug cats are only 2 years old.
Aww thugulike, it's good to know you are embarking on training so you know how to behave for George! ;)

Have you any pictures you could post? wolf, I know what you mean, Jack's only coming up to 3, and when we meet pups in the park or I hear about others getting one, I feel very broody for another furbaby!
Have you noticed that there are no cat training classes. That is because us cats are too clever for such things.

Can you imagine it - we would all be fighting and eyeing up the women cats. It would be like a night at the pub.

Cats are born with the ability to manipulate their human slaves. Dogs are just silly and pathetic. My human likes dogs - but then she is just silly and pathetic too.

Haha, frankie, yes, you are actually masterminds in furry bodies! I can't believe more people don't see this x

Handsome George is 4 months old now and he put on half a stone last week. I'm definitately coming back as a mastiff, he has to be encouraged to eat lots of carbs to make sure he doesn't end up tall and skinny like a Dane. He seems to be sleeping right through every night and Neither of can remember the last 'accident' we had. We've been into Penrith today for a stroll around, just to keep him well socialised really as I'd done most of my shopping already. I had forgotten how social it is having a puppy. In this part of the world strangers speak to you anyway but it seems that everyone smiles at a puppy and wants to stop and fuss. We've been in the garden all morning in the sun, harvesting the bramleys, pears and walnuts. I think George has eaten more pears than we've brought inside. Much of the mouthing is over as he has quite a few new teeth this week and, fingers crossed, he hasn't chewed or destroyed anything. I'm soo glad he lives with us. I'll try and follow the advice given in earlier posts and see if I can load some pictures. I warn you though he is completely edible!
