I picked her up tonight, and she is gorgeous! She is 10 weeks, and when I opened her carrier box in the kitchen, she went straight to her food bowl and had some whiskas kitten food, then straight to her litter tray to have a pee and a poo!!! lol Sorry, I am amazed at how quickly she adapted! She played with her scratching post and toys I got her, and is now peacefully asleep in her basket! Can't believe how good she has been. She wouldn't let me pet her at first and ran away, but she let me when she was settled in her basket! I'm so happy! lol (sorry, a bit tired and over-excited here!). Going to the vet tomorrow for shots and check up. Thanks to everybody for their advice!

Wow, that is great, she sounds lovely.

The first day I picked my kitten up and let him out of his carrier, he ran straight under the settee and wouldn't come out for about 3 hours!!!

Kittens are gorgeous, enjoy Jess while you can - it won't seem 5 minutes until she is fully grown and sleeping all the time!
Enjoy your little kitten - soon she will be a big grown up puss cat like me.

Her main job as a kitten is to drive you insane - acting like a little devil but looking like a little angel.

I am 2 now and I still drive my mum mad, I also try and kill my sister - that is great fun.

Frankie the big tom cat x
Hi max, give jess tickle from me, she sounds fabulous! Very laid-back and quick to settle. That must have calmed your kitty nerves too!

Enjoy kittenhood Jess, you'll soon be stalking the neighbourhood! :) x

Well, her first night went without a hitch! I did check on her twice during the night after waking up in a cold sweat....lol
She seems well settled, and has managed to find a way to get on top of the fridge and attack the curtains! lol
I spent all morning sat on the kitchen floor, and she finally ventured towards me, and let me pet her, and she even climbed onto my lap and had a wee snooze!!! I couldn't feel my legs after 10 mins so had to disturb her....lol
I could about her for ages....ha ha! I'm delighted! I will upload some pics once I've bought new batteries for my camera. xxx
I am glad that Jess is settling in. It is amazing how something so small can have such a big personality.

I have two - Frankie (he wrote you a message, above) and his sister Merlin. I love them so much.

Best wishes - she will be climbing curtains and shredding wallpaper in no time.

I do envy you - it's so lovely to have a kitten around the place and they provide hours of amusement. She obviously has a very good home and I know you will love her.
Having said that I wouldn't swap my two - they still have their kittenish moments and you will find that they never truly grow up, only older!
Give her a cuddle from me

An update about my wee Jess!
She is doing great, and has now the run of the house. She is sitting on my knee as I type this! lol She is very cuddly and friendly, and takes very quickly to people (my best friends was here last night, and spent half an hour on the floor playing and cooing at her...He's a 35 year old rock-climber! lol)She had her injections on friday, and I'm trying to make her eat her worming medicine....Easier said than done, little devil! lol Anyway, she is absolutely adorable, even had a snooze with me in bed this morning (which ended when she started attacking my feet! lol)
A couple of pics for you:

good for you........here's hoping many years of loving
She looks just like my kitten Jezebel, who is 5months old now - she sounds like they have the same temperament too. So, adorable! I also have her brother (Raphael) who looks nothing like her and is most white with black splodges, he looks like a fresian cow, and a four year old tabby called Diego, whom terrorises and is terrorised by the little ones!

All the "children" are dozing at the mo :-)
