how often and how important is it for my dog to get a booster - I have had him 2 years and he has had 2 boosters. Do I need to do this every year or is it just a way for the vet to cash in

my hound has a booster once a year and I think that is fine and recommended - and an occasional worming tablet. then again it's in the sea a lot so who knows what it's in contact with...
Have a look at this before you decide http://www.inkabijou.co.uk/vaxine.htm. I'm not trying to say that it's the gospel truth or anything but it's worth considering the points that the author makes. I know of several people who have suspicions that boosters caused their dogs to get ill. My thinking is that if humans only usually need to be immunised once per disease, why do dogs need annual boosters?
