I think it is a fir tree
There isn't a deal treee as such. Wood from a Scots Pine is called deal.
Deal is an old word for a plank or board. So 'deal' became the timber trade's name for any timber used for boards and planks. That's of various kinds of fir and pine, not the timber of any one particular species of tree.
I agree with fredpuli47, 'deal' is a term used in the timber trade and can be wood from one of many of the 'soft wood' trees ie pine, spruce, larch or fir commonly used in internal joinery. I've seen some pine furniture labled "Scandinavian redwood" which is actually Scots pine from Scandinavia, but of course it would'nt be known as Scots pine there.
What you have to remember is, is that terms used for timber in the timber trade (espeially the soft woods) dont always relate to the tree it came from.
Scots pine is also known to the timber trade as red deal.
