Swallows - good news!
2 Answers
Mrs Swallow arrived home this afternoon. It was lovely to see the pair of them together again. I was really getting worried, the little male seemed so lonely and he's been calling for nearly 2 weeks now. Anyway, all is well.

Nice to read your thread.
The male Swallow normally arrives earlier than the female, so I think they arrived at the right time of year.
It is nice to see them back in this country. Makes us feel that summer is on it's way.
No doubt they will be busy over the next few months, once they get over their jet lag. lol
We too have so many species of birds in our garden, it is so lovely to see and listen to them.
Hope you and young K are well. xxxx

Hi, Cruella, how are you & hubby? Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while - send me an e-mail & let me know, won't you?
Yes, the little male always comes home first, but last year the female arrived three days later, this year she took nearly two weeks!! I thought something had happened to her and I was so pleased to see them together the other day. She must've had a rough trip, as she seems absolutely kn******d - just sitting on the wire, preening herself!! Still, there are plenty of insects around for them to feed on, so hopefully she'll soon get her strength back & we can look forward to the babies! K xx
