JK04 .....welll, if you find that funny am sorry for u. That cackler and w.....r! I WOULD LOVE THE CHANCE TO RUB THAT CHILLY IN THEIR EYES! But then, we have to accept that some people are so ignorant and bored that they delight in harming trusting creatures. Am sure that isn't you JK04, the fact that you are bright enough to have found such a site shows you are above such inane behaviour? No Way am I doing that to my ferrets but there are lots of people I would do it to given the chance. People to delight in such acts do get their just desserts!
Must say...ferrets aren't a particular favourite animal of mine, but I know people who keep them, and they can make good pets. They're also clean, and usually only use one designated area as a "toilet". You can google about their upkeep far quicker than I can get facts for you, but i know one or two old-fashioned remedies for if they get poorly, so don't hesitate to ask again. Btw - handle the babies, if mum'll let you, because if ferrets don't get used to humans, their bites can be very nasty, and you can't get them off you easily. Glad they've found a good home anyway. x

thanx icemaiden. Wasn't sure about handling them as didn't want them human-scented as mum may have killed them or deserted them! Either way, am not handling them but will leave that to my son.......but ummmmm am thinking about a fur coat!!!! All in good time, of course!
I don't mean this to sound rude, but have you made enquiries locally about any lost ferrets. Someone might be really upset about losing the ferret. Because it is so tame makes me think that it has come from a loving home.

You may well have done this, and if so I apologise. I hope you do well with the ferret - they are really lovely animals to keep as pets - even if somewhat smelly.
a good sturdy bag, a few bricks and a local canal.

Hope this helps
gravy- that's horrible and not even funny as a joke. As is that Youtube link- why would anyone do this to their pet??
Lots of information here:

I would talk to a vet about getting them neutred as soon as possible (including the mother), the females stay in season virtually permanently - and you don't want even more of them!!

The ferret was obviously dumped because she was pregnant. Unfortunately rescue centres are full of them, so you may end up keeping them all as a group. Good luck! They are not my favourite creature, but they can be quite amusing to handle and watch them play.

goody the more ferrets the sooner I get my fur coat.....
Aw, don't be rotten, terambulan! Keep the ferrets and use them to hunt rabbits, then you can have free dinner AND a fur coat!!
Question Author
yes Kleiber, they will have a full life....only after death will my fur coat come about. The mother caught a huge rat yday. Am collecting road-kill rabbits & birds for her (or my stewpot & dog after)! My friends think this is awful???? Why waste good food. I skinned a road-kill fox and made a lovely collar for my coat! Not very good at the tanning process as the skin is stiff....but practise...eh All in the name of recycling!

terambulan - you wouldn't be related to 'tinglepie' would you by any chance??? Just a thought!!
No, alfieblue, terambulan's got a sense of humour!!
hummmmm some very quiestionable answer's here.
I have 3 Ferrets 1 hob (male) and 2 Jills (Females) I feed them James Wellbeloved ferret complete Pets @ home do they're own version of this or you could also feed dry cat food.
I would now contact the local dogs home and any local vets etc as someone could be very upset about loosing a beloved stinker lol
I know I was when one of my girls went walkabout 2 weeks after I adopted her home from the local dogs.
If no one comes forward may I suggest you get a nice big cage and think about getting the jills all spayed because if they are not mated when they come into season they stay in season and keep bleeding and can suffer from A plastic anemia which in time can and will cause death.
have fun with the little ones and good luck getting them homes :-)

Have asked around and put up notice in shop re ferrets. Have bought ferret food from pet shop; dry food. Am looking at polecats.....this looks more like a polecat, and they are carnivores. Too much dry food gives stool problems and opposite for too much meat....so far, all is well.

What is tinglepie?
jk04 if you think that is funny (on you tube) you are SICK in the head. go and see a doctor ASAP.
you poor sad ba$tard
Question Author
Please 34y....JK04 didn't make the site....some sad US bods did. Am sure someone in their locality will track em down and stuff their mouths with chillies. Lets not fight and name call! Or open your own 'Fighting' site. What is cruel. Animals wont survive without human intervention. Howmany fields have livestock these days....few, due to vegetarism and lack of suport to farmers...or the Brit Govt playing 'God' over diseases and destroying livestock, only to find that Europe has preserved their via antidote injections. Hard to pick up again when your business has been wiped out.
