Why is it that when my cat sees another cat in our garden he goes potty ... or even if he sees a dog ... but if a fox is sitting a couple of yards away from him, he doesn't respond at all, and neither does the fox ??

The fox isn't a territorial threat as much as the cat I suppose.

Neither is really prey for the other either.
that's weird. It may depend on other issues, like if they see each other spotting the other.
I showed my cat some sheep the other day. Went absolutely nuts.

It is a bit weird as cats are so territorial. This has happened with both of my cats, neither of which are 'friendly' let alone with other animals. My ginger tom is the first in a fight, bit of a chav really.
