I also read in the paper yesterday about some youths who tied a dog to a railway line set fire to it and waited for a train to come to finish the job! words fail me! I' m not a violent person but I know what I would do to this scum. The punishment should fit the crime but they'll probably get a slap on the wrist and made to work with animals for a week
As far as I'm concerned anyone who hurts animals or little children forgoes the right to live. We are becoming a cruel, monstrous society because we haven't got in place the necessary methods of retaliation.
Ergo: Thompson and Venebles tortured and murdered the beautiful Jamie Bulger and as 'punishment' for their crimes they got a few years in a secure unit - which I doubt is much worse than boarding school - a full education and qualifications - which they wouldn't have got if they'd stayed in mainstream school, new identities and lots of money with which to begin their nice new lives. Wow, some punishment, eh?
And the do-gooders assure us that this sort of treatment of offenders will ultimately bring about a cessation of bad and cruel behaviour?
'scuse me, is this planet Zog?

any sentence on animal cruelty is pitiful, and as for being fined or banned from keeping animals...........its not enough, they are taking a life and should be treated like murderers, and even them they get out on good behaviour. i worry about my two mogs when they're out, i do know they dont wander far but its still a worry.
I apologise, but I can't look at it.
I know it will upset me deeply - why do these people do such things? Have they no respect for life - whether it be animal, child, man, woman etc, etc etc - the list goes on and on.
How can these so called members of the 'human' race be so cruel and show no remorse?? They are not human nor are they humane.
I despair.
I find it very upsetting :o(

This is the biggest problem tiggerbue... Society's dregs are now bringing up a new generation who don't know any better. No respect for themselves, others or animals. Due to their nature of being financially rewarded for polluting society with more yobbos, it will become a snowballing situation unless we choose political reps who actually do something about it rather than spout a lot of cheap talk.
