But the longer that I live with cats the more I realise that they are curious - as in weird, strange, odd and bloody minded.
My two usually sleep on the back of the sofa or chair - but I have found them in cupboards, washing machines, the fridge, sitting on the shelf with the cat ornaments - the list goes on.
They are both lovable and annoying animals. :-)

Tessie, my parents' cat has a thing about sitting on the windowsill behind the blinds in the living room which can scare the crap out of you if you don't know she's there. She likes sitting on chairs under the dining table too hidden by the tablecloth.
Mitchell, who we lost last year, used to have a think about the milk float and the milkman had to have a word with my mum as he'd find him sitting in his float and would refuse to budge.
After we lost Mitchell Tessie took up sitting in the places that Mitchell used to (on a shelf under a living room table etc...).
We have an old family favourite photo of Jinks who we lost over 10 years ago, asleep in a roasting tin :)

Whilst I am typing this I have Rooney on my lap,it's a must that everytime I come on here he's got to [nose] in.Mickey is a back of the chair guy, he likes to see everything and Rastaz is a window sill guy who likes to see what's going on outside.Mickey will walk across our mantel piece and not knock one single item off, such foot sure is wonderful I think.g.
My mums cat big ginge likes sleeping on the window ledge and sometimes the coffee table and will give my mum a fright thru the night when he rolls off and hits the floor with a thump. At the moment old age seems to have caught up with him and hes not been too well the past few days, a tri to the vets is on the cards, i just hope it wont be his final one just yet.
One of our cats sleeps in a huge plant pot in the green house (its full of soil)
I just find it so funny that, when they sleep on the bed, if theres anything at all on there however small, piece of paper or even a coin, they HAVE to lie on it. And if you spread out the newspaper on the floor they are guaranteed to appear and come and sit down on it!
I also find it amazing how they can walk across a shelf or windowsill without nudging a single thing on there.

Well I have two of the little darlings and despite providing them with numerous cat beds, two sofas, a chair and 3 beds they tend to like to sleep anywhere that is in the way - ie stairs, the bit of the sofa I have been sitting on and have briefly left for the loo, my lappy, my work, across the top of the telly, the dining room table, the washing basket, and most oddly of all, the shower tray.
My two thugs are great delights to me too ! Big Thug is usually to be found either on the sofa or on her side of the bed (!) but occasionally decides to act intellectual by claiming rights to one of my ring binders from college. She also loves to sleep on top of the rack of towels in the bathroom. Little Thug is currently asleep on her (ie the other) side of the bed (I get the 12" bit between them.....) or on the back of the sofa (other end to Big Thug) or even in her little cat house. When they've been on the catnip they tend to sleep on their sides with their legs stretched out fully .... totally bonkers !
just remembering how much my old cat patch used to love sleeping in the airing cupboard, it was about 5ft jump onto the shelf where he would curl up on an old sweatshirt of mine. i once caught him climbing onto the shelf above, he hooked his paw through the wooden slats above his head and hauled himself up and with a little flick of his body was up and cosying down on an old duvet.
