Our dog seemed to be much happier being left in her crate when we go out and we were happy because nothing was destroyed. Also I feel it helps with toilet training as they really dont like to go to toilet in their crate, so theyre more inclined to try and hold on.
I don't wish to criticise, but have you researched what is entailed in caring for a dog, it's not, as I'm sure you know, just a cuddly plaything.
I would assume, as you want a dog walker, you are unable or unwiling to walk the dog yourself or you intend to leave the dog alone for long periods of time, (hence the cage training comment)?
It is my belief, if you do not have the time to spend with a dog, due to social or work committments, then surely it would be kinder not to have the animal. Dogs need lots of social interaction and company, they are not unlike small children. Perhaps a more independent pet would be better?

I wanted a dog for years but as I was out at work never got one. I waited until I was working from home and still got an older dog who didn't need so much attention. Even then she went for walks 4 times a day.
I now have a 2 year old westie and he needs loads of attention not just walks.
Please reconsider getting this puppy.

I wouldn't even expect a rescued older dog to be on it's own for 8 hours - perhaps though with someone coming in to take it out and spend some time with it, it would be OK.
Dogs need company, and puppies need lots of attention.
Just for example, they need to be taken out to wee on a regular frequent basis whilst they are very young so that they become toilet trained.
