THey are such beautiful creatures. I t just shows how desperate and confused it must to have been to let that fireman close enough to give him the water.

How many poor animals have perished in those bush fires.?

I have been lucky enough to hold a koala and they are so cute. Very sharp claws though.

It brings a tear to my eye to hear about and see all the devastation those fires caused not only to all the wildlife but the hundreds of people too.

Shame that it was a fire that was started by the firemen deliberately to make a fire break that burnt the koala in the first place.

Still I supose it highlighted the plight of the creatures burnt by the other fires.

Koala's are the most cutest animals. It was wonderful being being up close to them when in Perth & Sydney.

I do hope the surviving animals will manage to find water quickly....

aaaahh, at least the koala is being looked after in some animal sanctuary now, have you seen the photos of its bandaged paws? It must have been terrified.

Made me cry too - what a beautiful video. According to the news they have arrested someone for starting a fire. How could anyone do that deliberately?

They're my favourite animals and I'd like to come back as one: they sleep nearly all day and just wake up for a meal of eucalyptus leaves and I love eucalyptus.
To all those who've hugged a koala, didn't you find they smelt strongly of eucalyptus?
