i have been given a 4' corn snake . i have had it for a week now and it has not eaten . its quite active but not eaten its mouse . is this normal ?

hello Jimbo. my son has a corn snake (a young one) and he only eats once a week. wait a couple of days then try again. the "food" most be defrosted but don't touch it with your hands. if the smell human, they will want to bite human!

You will know when the snake is hungry Johnny.. it will appear to be *yawning* - ie it opens its jaw up very wide.
