I have goldfish in a 650 gal pond and one of them is obviously full of eggs. I know because she layed last year. My question is how long do they carry the eggs before they lay them

The gestation period lasts for anything between 4 - 14 days. Eggs hatch after 4 - 5 days. They breed better in the cooler weather. The mother and other fish may eat the eggs or babies so you may want to remove them and put them in a tank if you want them to survive.
