My dog appears to have a cold. Don't think it's kennel cough. He keeps coughing and sneezing and bringing up white phlegm. Also got runny eyes. Don't think he's bad enough to see the vet. What treatment if anything should I give him?

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like it could be kennel cough to me. Try him with some Manuka honey for the cough as it also acts as a natural antibiotic.
Sorry, but he needs to see a vet,how do you know it's a cold? Better to be safe than sorry ,don't you think crunchiesmum.
I don't think dogs get colds like humans do. I think you should make an appointment with the vet.

Thanks. He's had kennel cough before and doesn't sound the same at all. I'll get him in at the vets though.
