do these plug in things really work? Have caught 9 mice (humanely) in kitchen in last few weeks. Cat not interested in mousing

Did you catch the mice, do you think because you have the plug in things ?

no, I'm only now considering buying one of these plug in jobs, caught the mice in a humane trap and released them far away from the house

We did buy some when we moved into our bungalow, Corylus - we found mice coming in under the kitchen sink. Can't say we found them any good. We had them plugged in every room. In the end we found where they were coming in and sealed it.
