I have an oak tree - quite young, about 10-12 years. I've noticed pea-sized 'growths' on the leaves - not only on the stalks, some actually about in the middle of the leaves. Any idea what these are?
nope - the 'pods' (for want of a better word) are about the size of a garden pea. they're mostly right where the stem meets the leaf, but some are right in the leaf - I suppose a similar thing is the air sacs you see on sea weed?
I think possibly we're on the rigjht track, but not there yet. I can start searching now - sounds like the 'galls' although they're bigger than the ones on that page. Thanks a million
