Best Dry Cat Food??
10 Answers
Hello again,
More kitten advice please!!
The vets have advised Hill's Science Plan dry kitten food...
Do I really need to buy that? Or is there something else as soon but not as expensive?
Thanks,

I would start your kittens on whatever they have been eating when with their mum. The last thing that you want to do is change their food - a tiny kitten with diarrhoea is the last thing that you want.
My two get Iams (which is left down all the time) and a sachet each per day.
Go to the FAB site - there is loads of information to get you started -

Also watch these clips - they are very realistic -

I use a mix of both wet and dry food and have always started kittens on this regime, but you need to be sure to feed kitten versions for the first few month. Biscuits are good for the teeth. Make sure you give them a variety to they develop a wide taste - mine are turning into fussy boys in their old age and won't eat own brand food, has to be Felix or Whiskas as the minimum!
I second that. I took on my mother's cat who at 12 was the size of a rugby ball and couldn't jump on the sofa, bed and quality of life was poor, She'd been lovingly fed on Science Plan for several years. I switched her to Felix and Whiskas pouches and she is now lithe and lively and can jump and climb anywhere.
