Why won't my new kitten go to the toilet?
8 Answers
I have just aquired a gorgeous 7 week old kitten with whom I am besotted. She has settled in extremely well, is loving and affectionate, eating and drinking well, toilet trained, in the process of being wormed and everything is fine EXCEPT that since I brought her home home yesterday morning she has not done any business. She goes into the litter box, has a scrat around (trying to eat some of it in the process) but doesn't seem to do anything in it or anywhere else. I am worried as to the consequences. Should I consult a vet right away?

Young of most species - humans included, have growth spurts when they eat a lot, and wee and poo more than average, balanced withslow periods when they eat and drink less, and produce less waste in proportion.
If he is eating and drinking, and seems ok, I wouldn;t worry at all.
