I moved to a house in a new neighborhood 3 months ago, and slowly he would go away for a few hours then would come back running everytime I called. This time was different, he is nto back yet. I read what you guys wrote about spring time and cats exploring and all, but I also read a lot of stories about people finding lost cats and diciding to keep them for themselves. I am putting a search group together for tomorrow and I will put some pieces of clothing, big flyers and walk around the neighborhood. Any other ideas to make him come back?
Hi Guys on the subject of missing cats, I have set up a website http://www.missingcat.co.uk its only just started up and I am still develping parts of it but its free and you can post a profile of your lost cat or a found cat anywhere in the world.

My cat went missing last Monday so it's been exactly one week now. The whole family misses her terribly. She is a neutered female aged ten months. She is quite a curious cat, she used to go out daily for toilet and to play for a few hours, but she always came back.
She often went out to play with two local cats in the area but they are still around, I keep wondering why they haven't gone for a spring wander. I have put up posters in the area, put leaflets through letterboxes, asked door-to-door and contacted the local RSPCA cattery.
My main concern is that if she has gone for a spring wander she might not know the way back home. She is only ten months. She has been with us for six months but we only started letting her out about three months ago (after neutering). Has anybody else had this problem with a very young cat? Did the cat come home?
