dog and the telephone

My dog howls everytime the phone rings, and runs a mile if he hears the door creak. He hasnt always been like this and is getting very nervous.
Any tips on why and how to combat this problem ?

A bit of WD 40 on door hinges should cure that problem zzxxee ! Can you change the ringtone of your Phone ?

not the landline no. it doesnt have to creak it can be the wind whistling through
he really is a chicken S***T !!!!!

Jetspoon (my avatar) got more and more nervous the older she got, towards the end of her life she was virtually afraid of her own shadow. We used to give her Bach flower remedy drops when she got really scared. Don't know how old your dog is but all we could do was reasure her and give lots of cuddles. Maybe we did the wrong thing but didn't know what else to do. Good luck with your pooch, all we can do is love them x
