The first Manton Bay chick has taken off for his first flight round the bay and back to the nest. The others should follow soon. I'm off to the hides tomorrow.

Brilliant piece of film - I'm always amazed at the strength in their wings to lift themselves out of the water again.

All the new Ospreys at Rutland are now flying free. This year the Rutland birds successfully raised 10 fledglings
