Just caught up last night and watched video of Monday's and Tuesday's programme and live last night's. Loving it of course, especially the nuthatches and Iolo, not necessarily in that order. BUT, and I could get shot for this, I think Michaela is rather surplus to requirements. Is she the token woman? I'm not comparing her to Kate Humble because there is no comparison, Kate is authoritative and knowledgeable and M isn't. Was discussing this with a friend last night and we reckon if they stuck Bill Oddie in with Chris and Martin it would be great fun. They would be bouncing off each other, trying each to outdo one another and generally taking the mickey and putting each other in their place. I feel the respect and competitiveness between Martin and Chris but not with Michaela. OK shoot me now.

No Michaela is def a token female I'd vote for Miranda Krestovnikoff from ~Coast she is a proper zoologist and a good presenter she could possibly out geek Chris

poor runty put up a brave fight. A fluffy owl chick popped out from roof tiles last night, eager for dins. a few more nights due b4 fledging

The owls are ages from fledging... hope they get some herons..they were excellent last year

we have them in Birmingham too wonderful wonderful birds

And there are a few would like a walk in the bog with Iolo
