Bluetits

Haven't seen any Bluetits this year. Is it the weather !?

yes derek both our boxes had bluetits in, they fledged a good few weeks ago. Im on outskirts of Leicester.

I'm getting plenty of blue tits but slightly more great tits.
It all went quite yesterday when a hovering kestrel came down and settled next to the chimney pot.

There was a small family near my home but i haven't seen them in a few weeks now.

We've got the usual numbers mixed with all the other visitors,what I do miss are the cuckoos. I've not heard one for several years and I can't remember the last time I actally saw one, yet at one time the local woods seemed to be full of them.

Lots here in Bedfordshire. We have suddenly acquired a very noisy pair of parakeets.
