well, we all know of the comity of nations. But I was thinking of it in the sense of civility & good manners.
Well that's the second sentence broken in this thread!
Aaah, then that is còmely, the expression of good manners in a gracious and civilised way.....
I always though comely meant welcoming bosoms..
Thanks EvianBaby for the link which, unfortunately, is for the year 2010 and possible needs up-dating.

DT..I feel that the 'report button' is a last resort for me; because our team of Moderators are , so to say, 'on the ball' and my game play could be open to questioning.

Ron.
I'm halfway into my second bottle of Aconcagua, an almost sour red, I may break a sentence or two at the afternoon passes, Prudie.
note the inflection over the o in my còmely, Prudie, different prononciation and meaning, a hardly used word just like the dearth of manners these days, perhaps?
Well if you're on your second bottle already may I congratulate you on your eloquence sandy.
Things are now getting too Cryptic for me.

Ron.
The c word for sandy's state, or impending wreckage, is probably "confabulated".......
I find that sarcasm doesn't really translate properly over the internet.

I notice an error in my last post. '...or two at the afternoon...' should read '...or two as the afternoon...'.
Sorry DT, I thought it was dust on my screen :-)
I've checked and comely just means attractive so don't know why I thought bosoms came into it.
well, they're not unattractive.
Have we ever seen a comely wench in a Carry On film who didn't have a 'nice rack'?
Your is, excuse the writing here, cumley; my version is c (short-o sound) mley.....big difference in the meaning..and I have just lost the link!
excuse me, I can't type now, Yours is.....
I'll be mortified if I've used 'comity' in the wrong way here. Did I or didn't I?
R U intoxicated too, DT fan?
