Multiple user names

ABE, I was having a look at the Site Rules (as you do of a Monday) and seen the following

"Any abuse of the AnswerBank's registration procedures will not be tolerated. Any users attempting to acquire  multiple user names will not be able to do so."

I have used the name MUMPING when I was getting blocked but I always said who I was. There are folk on here wi LOADS of user names and some have admitted to it  What is being done about them?

shaneystar, in total agreement...that's why I'm now gonna post to ABed to remove me from AB..my e-mail and details.......I found this site by googling, and thought it was great..not any more...there are names who have took over certain sections, and peoples threads don't get answered.

Don't feel that you have to leave AB because of this Liverpoollou.I'm sure you have a lot to contribute.It's such a shame when people disappear just because of a few idiots.
This is why we asked ABED to give us "oldies" a section where we can whitter on about zimmer frames and knitting and such like !!
Seriously.. don't let it get to you.Just ignore them and perhaps they will give up.Failing that we can get TCL to get Brenda the Elephant to jump on them from a great height!

Hope Lou isn't giving up on this, there are alot of people that have been trying to support one another, and it obviously has been percieved to be something else, but Lou knows what I and others have tried to do and we have been there for her.

I haven't been on here tonight as it is just getting so repetitive with the same moronic drivel, anyone can have a pop at me but it's not bothering me anymore, I might have a dry and cutting sense of humour but I don't recall being abusive, I'll stay as long I I choose and just do what I want, it is my electric!

Lou please don't go, just keep popping in & maybe as shaneystar has said we just might have that quiet corner one day.
I just drop in & out of my favourite categories at the moment & very occasionaly find a Q in CB that's worth joining in with. I would like to start more threads but it's pointless when they're swamped by drivel.

Right I'm off to Gardening to see  who's got the adelgids & shot-hole disease this morning!!

shaney, it's been bad enough when Brenda The Elephant has fallen out the top bunk but she is preapared to crush any wrongdoers in exchange for four dozen buns and a bag of peanuts.

Funnily enough many moons ago as a child we went on a school outing to London Zoo. Mother had packed me a lunch which included a bun. Standing by the elephants and one reached down with his trunk and snaffled said bun before I could blink !! Probably one of Brendas relations.!!

jno, the impression given is that folk can't have more than one name when you, I and ABE know that this is not the case. I ask a question of ABE and she replies wi "Heavens Corby." What does that mean? The introduction of the green names was, at first sight, a good idea but all someone has to do is register under someone else's name, post nothing for 14 days and start posting. Their name will come up as grey and then all hell can break loose. ABE is not about at the weekend and I do not expect md to work seven days a week and not take time off. Who covers for ABE when she goes off wi the Monks on their annual pilgramage to the sights and sounds of Lourdes? (That's one of the notorious clubs in Cyprus)   I know I'm having a whinge and I'm sure ABE can play a mean tune on the piano. It just annoys me when there are obviously folk on here wi more than one user name and some even admit to it. It appears that no action is taken against them.Why not? 

 I know I said I give up but I'm thrawn ok?

I'm not disagreeing TCL... in fact I have posted several suggestions whereby offenders might be torn apart by wolves, crucified upside down etc as a deterrent, though curiously none of them has been actioned... But personally I have no quarrel with people who just change their username for whatever reason and tell other users they've done so (as I recall, one had named herself after her boyfriend, then split up with him). The real problems it seems to me are those who use more than one name concurrently and don't tell anyone; and those are the ones AB Ed can't do much about, although actively offensive users will find themselves reported and banned - seems that this happened to a semi-imposter called buttttons yesterday.
