Is there any way of proving that I am not the cause of all the imposters on CB. I do not know how to clone a user id and even if I did it's not something I would do anyways. it is not something that I think can be proved, but surley if you have banned these people then how would I still be able to post???? Just wanted toset the record straight is all. I am not nor never have have been Smithy82 I am not all the other idiots that have posted as well...

What about.........!! a link to every users computer..via..the EDS office(ip..logger)and if anybody attempts to use more than one name (or computer)...it comes up a different colour!....now if you have a back up user name(in case of cloning)it would come up blue....but if you had a third name it would come up..purple..etc...! so we would know not to answer that certain colour...until the ED removed it and banned that person...(:)

GavC - my philosophy, and until Bill Gates emails me with something better, is that if you are nice and pleasant and refrain from antagonising people in your posts by creating irrelevant drama then people won't suspect you of nasty behaviour if or when it arises. In regards to the recent impostering hoo-ha, well, I have no real reason to suspect you.

Well said ABE - at the end of the day, unless people are posing as others, then if people play nice, there shouldn't be a problem!

actually TCL my thoughts have been running along those lines. AB probably needs to issue webcams to everyone. Iris scanning would be ideal but it would mean people having to stare into the camera as they typed, which is tricky for those who can't touch-type. So some other sort of optical recognition would be needed. Probably the simplest, and the hardest for imposters to fake, would in fact be whole-body recognition. This would require everyone to post while naked. (In my case it would also require a wide-angle camera.) I can see this might be uncomfortable in the coming bitter winter, but it would help keep hackers at bay.
