It seems we're not getting any changes on AB 'til after xmas so I've set up a grotto for us. Sorry it's a bit like a scene from Great Expectations but I've sprayed a few cobwebs silver & blown the dust off me doileys so please come in & sit down.
What do all the biddies/grumps want to find in their wrinkly stockings this year then? Do you like all this festivity or will you be the grumpy gran/grandpa from hell this year?
Please feel free to take a present out of the bran tub as you leave by the way. Contents may be unidentifiable....oops sorry...be varied.

lol neti - or just a snappy dresser?

woofgang go easy on the bran, it's a long way across the back yard to the loo. Has anybody bothered to put a candle in there btw to stop it freezing up?

Question Author

hohoho Vinny! I thought I saw someone come in & sneeze in the tub & nip out again, probably one of those monks, it'll be his teeth. Are you sure you've not been on the Becks already?

All I have to say is 'Baa Humbug'. I seriously do not like Christmas and intend to hibernate from 20th December until 4th January complete with a crate of red wine and some delicious goodies. Roll on Easter. Think I have a case of SAD. Can I come and stay with you Netti, pleeeeaaaaaseeeee................................................

Question Author

That's ok gessoo - you don't have to enjoy xmas to come in the 'grotty'! I'm actually not a huge fan myself, I always have to make a monster effort to fight off the SAD at this time of year. I just try not to expect too much & go with the flow.

It would be nice if we kept the grotto going until xmas so we can pop in for a grumble over a toddy - keep 'em coming shaneystar!!

Have a present from the tub gessoo, there's a pink, fluffy thong in there somewhere!! twang!! ....haha!

gessoo you won't want to come here as Christmas is from 24th December until 7th January with fiestas all the time. Never know when shops are open. Councul has put the street decs up early this year so hopefully everyone's getting in the spirit. baa humbug indeed!!!!

Very funny! Who's ripped my purple crepe paper into squares & put it in the loo? I'd intended to use it for something a little more creative.... Vinny was it you? Why couldn't you use the Izal like everyone else?
Anyway, the colour comes out of it you know...hope you haven't got any well-man medicals due...hahaha....

Oooooooo Izal, now there's a blast from the past! I love the smell of that stuff!

Ummm, I hasten to add that I love the smell of it PRIOR to usage- I'm not THAT strange!

We always used Bronco. Was that up-market or down-market from Izal? I'm not sure.

Izal...?we use the devon news..cut up into 4 inch squares....we get are's free with the chips....bit greasy..but when it snows we dont need a sleigh....now that's what you call..recycling..( :)geesoo...you enjoy your wine...put a sign in your window..."wake me up when the spring comes"( :)
Question Author

lol Vinny - so if it wasn't you it was probably woofgang, she's been overdoing the bran I think.

No idea gen but they both had the same evil effect, & didn't do the job, if you'll pardon the expression. Not a bottom wipe in sight then....it should have been called NoKandoo!!

The thought of Vinny sliding down a snowy hillside on his greasy bottom isn't my idea of festive image :-(
I am leaving the country for Christmas so you will have to make your own hot toddys from the 23rd until 27th.I shall be off indulging in schnapps away from the mayhem that is Christmas these days.
I shall wrap your Izal loo paper before I go and leave it the bran tub along with a bit of crumbly cake for you all !
And to think we used to be so happy with an orange, a few nuts and a Beano annual !!
Izal is the best when it comes to comb and paper whistling - tickles the lips a bit though.
Its ya beard which tickles Neti nowt to do with the comb and paper!
Boo - so you've seen ma photo then - I do try to keep the moustache under control.
s'not me using all the izal, that bran turned out to be cork and had the opposite effect :-o have put my old parafin heater in the loo though, don't dangle the toilet roll over it and can somebody refill it and check the wick today as I am at work? If the pan freezes, don't pour boiling water down, did that once and cracked the pan

Mornin' all!

Right you are woofgang, have a good day. Sorry about your prob I'm sure there was an unlabelled tin of prunes that I put in the tub, I'll see if I can work out which one it is. Hope Vinny doesn't singe his beard on the heater as he bends down to get that mag (he thinks) he'd hidden in there - 'Fishnets for the Over Forties'.
Has the nit nurse OK'd that beard Vinny??

Hi Robinia, Got my mountain climbing gear on and found you at the summit. Nice place. What I want to know is can I have my birthday party here tomorrow? I'll bring the cheese and pineapple nibbles !!

Ooh a Biddy Birthday party, how lovely. Can we have some entertainment............Vinny can perform to the 'Full Monty' soundtrack..... must remember to bring me good glasses...............

Where are you off to Shaneystar?

Netti............I still want to come and stay with you. I like Spanish fiestas and I can get all my sixties hippy gear out again in rememberance of some good old days in Ibiza town in 1966!

Question Author

Hi Peri so glad you found us...pffftt...just blowin' some dust off a leather pouffe for you....
If you feel at home here we'd love to have a birthday party, even gessoo has cheered up & seems to be organising things! Cheese & pineapple? are we doing 70s then? I'll get the Babycham.

neti I like the sound of your Christmas too so we might be needing the BiddyBus!
