It seems we're not getting any changes on AB 'til after xmas so I've set up a grotto for us. Sorry it's a bit like a scene from Great Expectations but I've sprayed a few cobwebs silver & blown the dust off me doileys so please come in & sit down.
What do all the biddies/grumps want to find in their wrinkly stockings this year then? Do you like all this festivity or will you be the grumpy gran/grandpa from hell this year?
Please feel free to take a present out of the bran tub as you leave by the way. Contents may be unidentifiable....oops sorry...be varied.

Actually, it's Afternoon!, but like Shaney I don't do mornings very well.

I was awake from 3.30am as well! Had a dreadful nightmare which woke me and then just couldn't go back to sleep. Would have come down to the dorm if I had realised it had been set up for us by IAP. Gosh I am so tired now. The valium I was given for my back worked wonders in giving me more sleep, but I'm back to the old horrible sleep pattern now.

However..................... today I have taken delivery of a purpose made chair which my company have had made specially to fit me and to cope with my arthritic problems. (I work from home). It is absolute bliss and it has heat and massage functions as well. So as I write this I have the heat on my back whilst I am being massaged from the top of my back through to my knees. The chair has been on order for a month but it's arrival has coincided wonderfully with my back injury. The massage levels are all interchangable and I had a great time playing with them!!!!! And the chair is a lovely bright red cheery colour. The only problem is I now think I might fall asleep whilst working. Don't think I will ever leave our study now - this is bliss!

Trouble is I am nodding off, the heated back is absolutely wonderful! I have to go out to the post office and I would much rather just sit here and go to sleep. You can tilt it right back! and with a footstool it would be amazing for a good nights sleep! Oh dear, I don't think my company have realised quite what they have done if they want to get some work out of me.

Perhaps if Ed is feeling generous she will order us all one for the grotto! It was very expensive, especially as it was made for my exact size. The worse part was having the width of my bum measured and being asked how much I weighed!!!!!! Especially as the consultant was a very handsome fella!!!!!!

I hate to say this but have a lot of people given up bathing since xmas? they're all out there today. A dunk in the tin bath & a good scrub with carbolic wouldn't go amiss....no excuse with all the bloomin' mod cons these days.....don't know they're born ...mumble ....grumble....

As for the great unwashed Robinia...don't get me on that subject .! I always seem to be the one who lands up next to stinky people on the bus.It makes feel quite nauseous.I feel like carrying a bar of soap around with me and offering it to them.
