no pictures shaney? I blame that Gordon Brown... My foot's stopped hurting but hasn't actually gone down yet. I finally got my 'emergency' appointment with my GP today and all he said was put a crepe bandage on and see him again in a week. But his dragon receptionist wouldn't give me an appointment that far ahead, just said to ring next week... by which time they'll all be gone. GRRRRR. I'd be kicking holes in the wall if I didn't have such a placid nature (and a swollen foot).

What sort of doctor is this Jno ..I would have kicked him with my good foot. At the very least he should have arranged an Xray and a course of anti -inflammatories.
You could try Feldene or Traxam Gel..keep it in the fridge and apply as often as you can.It will cool and take the swelling down. They do those sports supports in Boots ...I think there is one for feet.I have one for my knee and it is good.
We can't have this ...you must be fit to go to Nettis.....

Shaney, if jno had kicked him with the good foot then jno would be flat on the floor as I doubt if jno could stand on the bad foot. Now there's logic!!! :o)

goes without saying I'd never seen this GP before - I think that's the practice motto, 'Never knowingly shown the same doctor twice'. Receptionist seems to be new too; she actually has long leather boots with stilettos, which I suspect she sharpens on patients. But I do have pills that are more or less working... more or less... from my outing to casualty at the weekend, plus I have Deep Freeze gel and ibuprofen gel and six different sorts of toothpaste that suggest to me the medicine cabinet could do with clearing out... and the crepe bandage seems to be forcing my foot back into shape too, so I'll probably be almost human by Easter.

Sports support's a good idea shaney.. from Boots, well it would be of course... next time I get there I'll look into it, thanks for your... support.

gosh shaney your first pic looks remarkably like my garden - the bit of it that was out of sight to the left in the picture I posted before - not just the same fence (with trellis on top) but the same shape of plants too, dipping in the middle then higher at the back. Can't quite tell if the plants themselves are the same too. I expect Capability Brown laid them both out. gessoo I'm surprised to see you had snow this time last year. Where I am (way south, in the direction of Nigeria), I reckon spring is a full 6 weeks later this year than last. judging by when blossom was out; certainly no snow here at this time, in fact none either winter as I recall.

According to my pictures, they were taken on 4th April 2005 jno. I think it must have been freak weather which prompted me to take the pictures!
