Also, I'd been away from AB for a while & wouldn't have known we Biddies had moved if it wasn't for Robinia & Neti sending me notifications via one of my threads.(Although on looking back, someone had posted a link to our new home - so I got there in the end)!

Oh so my 'answer' has mysteriously disappeared! Ok well I will try again. What have these last two answers to do with gessoo's suggestion? Doesn't appear they have to do with anything? If somebody does not want me to continue to ask this question, then please at least have the courtesy to answer it!!

My suggestion was put on ages ago Puss in Boot when everyone was asking what had happened to Chatterbank. When you have been using the site for a while the top orange box tends to get forgotten, so pink boxes from the Editor get noticed quickly on a thread. However, when you put your answer in over one month later, I expect my question did seem irrelevant. Is that OK for an answer?

Are you joking gessoo? This thread was at the very top of the most recently answered in this category. I certainly did not have to trawl back very far! It was smudge who reopened it on 27/01 and that is when I made my reply. Now woofgang has reopened it again with a post that appears quite irrelevant to the suggestion. All I am doing is asking what this and the following answer has to do with your suggestion.

hi Puss - complicated business, but this thread is basically being fitted out for the use of AB tribal elders to reminisce in. Gessoo is one of them, and the original Qs and As in it have served their purpose, so a long line of posts more or less incomprehensible to anyone who isn't following them, plus links to silly pictures, will soon be appearing. It has AB Ed's blessing, and anyone can join in (the intention is certainly not to exclude anyone, of any age), but the whole point is that everyone in it is cheerful and polite, so it needs only minimal moderating. The difference from ChatterBank was that the latter, as well as friendly chat, tended to attract a lot of swearing and insulting, especially late at night, which AB Ed had to spend far too much time deleting the next morning.

Hope to see you here again in future. Feel free to bring slide shows and recipes for chocolate cake etc

Hi Puss in Boot. Sorry, I forgot about the 'Threads recently answered'. The thread hadn't attracted any replies so we decided to use it for our next move. This all started because there were so many questions on the site about things us 'silver surfers' remembered from the past that we asked for a topic on 'Memories'. We only use our own threads to run Biddybank from. I am glad you don't disapprove of us, because we actually don't cause any aggravation. Apologies also, if I assumed you were an old user reregistering with a new name just to 'get at us'. I was perhaps being a little thin skinned (but that comes with great age along with wrinkles and all the other associated problems).
