Not actually a question,,More of an answer.I am a western scholar of Islam.And I have done comparative study with other religions.The answers to almost all Religion based Qs are very wrong,or nearly wrong.So if there is some expert for the required field ,Why not send the Q to their inbox for opinion.

do you mean the answers to all religious based questions asked on answerbank? If so, perhaps many of these are actually opinion based answers, which is within the scope of the site. it is not advisable to set yourself up as an expert on anything hereabouts, for fear of incurring the wrath of other users, and the ABed, a polite and courteous response pointing out any erroneous replies would generally suffice.

because it is the individuals choice of whether they want to give an opinion, and not have their inbox bombarded with emails. also this site is for everyone to view.

also your opinions of religion are no more right or wrong than any one elses just because you study it academically.

Would agree with Joko here. Opinions are always welcome - some people have in depth knowledge of religious theories, etc. through study, and their contributions are always welcome too. However, nobody actually can state that they are right when it comes to their beliefs.

Indeed ALL answers on religion are opinion based. And it is MY opinion that Islam is a religion based solely on Evil.

Explain, how can an opinion be wrong? It can be offensive, be mis-interprted, be politically incorrect, incoherent and outdated. But a mere opinion can never be wrong.

Pigs flying is hardly a religious issue, it should go in either Animals & nature, How it Works, or History & Myth, personally I believe that pigs are as capable of flying as humans, and therefore we have something in common. Oh and I am not sure what islam is either , is it a place as well as a religion?

If you are a scholar of Islam with only comparative studies with other religions, why doea that make you an expert on those other religions?
Have you studied ALL the world's religions?
According to the last census done in Britain quite a lot of people put Jedi as their religion - are there any Jedi experts on here to put forward their views?

Being an expert is a very dangerous thing to say as there is always someone who knows more than you do. It also generally infers either a closed mind or that there is nothing else to learn about a given subject. This is my opinion ;-)

Thanks to all for your response,I have taken it on board ,The reason I mentioned expert opinion is on the basis of the Theological texts only.I am not here to argue or to prove to any one the existence of God or question their faith.

I have not studied all the religions,Only Hinduism,Christianity,Islam and their respective mystical dimensions only.

Satanism is also a religion in the UK,unlike Jedi(sm) which hardly has a few followers ,it is one of the fastest growing religion.

the reason I mentioned Islam,well I came across an earlier post and I read the answers ,It was quite funny.I was reminded of the story of the blind men and the Elephant.Based on this story ,I can confidently agree that anybody can give an opinion.But for the sake of the readers or the observers it is better to give opinion based on knowledge and experience if only to throw some light on the issue,if not the reader is left none the wiser.
