Here are couple of pics for you robinia ..if you could tell what that yellow stuff is I would be very pleased.
Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora'.Certainly is pretty and I have been trying to train it since we moved here to go over the arch of the seat ...but it seems to want to go in the other direction!
Not much to do today in the garden as it is pouring down after a lovely day yesterday.
If I don't cut the grass soon I won't be able to find Shane !
Plus no lunch as had the wrong date on my calendar....I shall be glad when my new specs are ready !
Here is another piccy for you of the front which I titivated round yesterday. The ceanothus should be in bloom soon ..if we get some sun. It's always a lovely blue ..when it does bloom I will leave a picture for you.

glad it's mystery solved shaney.
That looks lovely & tidy, I had a tall ceanothus but it expired a couple of yrs ago - I think it was too exposed to cold winds although it was against a wall.
I've been digging dandies out of the lawn with a knife. If it's a day that I can bend down far enough I can't grip well enough to pull the weeds out.....oh the joys of being decrepit.
By the way I have two pairs of blackbirds nesting and since putting up a seed feeder have started to get a few bluetits ..yippee...Mr Sparrows nose has been put out of joint ! He guards the peanuts with his life.
I replanted all the front last year and am glad it's all taken on so well.
Robinia I think parts of this hedge are a quarter of an inch too long; do get a grip.

Hi Vinny - I wouldn't go climbing the robinia, it's a bit brittle & spiky....erm, haven't you forgotten something?....like the rest of the Biddies?

I trust you all slept snuggly, sorry about the grim weather today, hope you don't all get the rheumatics. Looks like Vinny has gone off without the sprout butties I left him, ....never mind he can have them fried for his tea. erm, sorry about your newspaper btw Vinny, charlie gets a bit tetchy when it's stormy.
Now I'm sure I locked up last night so how come there are cheesy bits in my grill this morning?.......
