The AB Suggestions Page

Hi All!

Sorry I have been unable to respond to any questions on the Suggestions page as I have been ill all this week. In answer to some of the questions about sub-topics - We are still working to improve the format of the AB to make the new sub-topics easy to use. This is a long process as it involves moving old questions and answers, and discussions into new sections. My being ill has put us a bit behind, but our dedicated team has been working on making the AB the best Q & A site on the web.

The new improvements will make the sub-topics easy to navigate, and even allow for discussion of questions, so please put up with our growing pains for now!

Also, in response to a question about whether or not the AB team use the AB Suggestions page - the answer is YES!

I can't speak for what has happened in the past, but over the last two months, the AB team has checked the Suggestions page every day as we work on improving the site. Almost every improvement we are working on comes directly from a user's suggestion.

Finally, a user has suggested that the AB is building a 'premium rate' site. That is completely false. We are proud to work on a site that offers a valuable service to users for free, and we will continue to offer that service for free in the future.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, even though we aren't able to answer every email or suggestion personally we are reading and using your suggestions everyday!

It's good to hear from you ED, I hope you are better now. I also hope that we can soon start to see some movement on the sub-sections matter. It is a great site and I love coming on here, I just feel it has lost something with all the sub-sections.

Hi Ed .... glad to know that you are in the land of the living :-)

I hope that my thread of logic below is of assistance to the editorial team re deciding what subjects / themes 'naturally link up'

May advice is .... dont' have too many Topics (there is a limit to how many categories ABers will trawl through), and stop postings to the headings.

Extrapolating comments in previous thread -

I wrote -

reasonable sub-Topics, but you cold reduce the number by combining some --

Films + TV + Theatre +Radio (many of the personlities are on all !)

Clubbing + Clubs + Gigs + Music Festivals + Revues +

Gaming (PC and Video)

Parlour (Cards / Board) Games (Cards - includes Bridge Whist Vingt et un Baccarat etc - Chess etc
